Privacy Policy

Sentinel Opus Consulting collects only what is needed to respond to inquiries, deliver services, operate the website, and protect the work. Client information is handled with discretion and on a need-to-know basis.

Last updated: July 1, 2026

Information We Collect

We may collect information you choose to provide when you contact Sentinel Opus Consulting, request a consultation, submit a project request, or communicate during an active engagement.

  • Contact information, such as name, business name, email address, website URL, and preferred contact details.
  • Project information, such as service interest, timeline, budget alignment, goals, current website context, and additional details you provide.
  • Technical website information, such as page paths, referring pages, browser type, device type, general region, and other basic data used to operate, protect, and understand the website.
  • Business records created during an active engagement, such as approved scope notes, project decisions, delivery notes, and communication history.

Do not submit passwords, access credentials, private customer data, regulated information, or sensitive system details through public forms or initial inquiry messages.

How We Use Information

We use information to review inquiries, respond to project requests, prepare consultations, define project scope, deliver approved services, maintain business records, protect the website, and improve the clarity and usefulness of the public site.

  • Responding to inquiries and consultation requests.
  • Evaluating service fit and preparing project recommendations.
  • Planning, delivering, documenting, and supporting client work.
  • Maintaining records needed for business, tax, legal, security, and operational purposes.
  • Reviewing aggregate website analytics so the site can be improved without building visitor profiles.

Client Confidentiality

Client information is handled on a need-to-know basis. We do not sell, rent, or trade client information. We do not voluntarily disclose client information except as needed to provide requested services, with client permission, or as required by valid legal process.

Confidentiality obligations in a signed services agreement control the applicable project relationship. This policy describes the baseline public privacy posture and does not create a protected legal or professional relationship.

Need-to-Know Handling

Project information is accessed only for practical business reasons: reviewing a request, delivering the work, maintaining records, resolving support needs, or meeting a legal or operational obligation.

Access credentials, private operational notes, and sensitive technical details should be shared only through the approved project channel and only when they are needed for the defined work.

When Information May Be Shared

We may share information in limited circumstances when sharing is needed to provide services, manage approved tools, coordinate with a client-approved provider, maintain the website, comply with business obligations, protect rights and security, or respond to valid legal process.

  • With service providers that help operate the website, deliver communications, host services, process records, or support approved project work.
  • With client-approved vendors, platforms, or collaborators when a project requires coordination.
  • With professional advisors or business support providers where appropriate for accounting, legal, security, or operational needs.
  • When required by valid legal process or other legally required request.
  • With client permission.

Legal Process and Required Disclosures

We do not voluntarily disclose client information except as needed to provide services, with client permission, or as required by valid legal process.

Valid legal process may include subpoenas, court orders, warrants, or other legally required requests.

Where legally permitted, we may notify affected clients of requests involving their information. When appropriate and legally permitted, we may review, narrow, challenge, or object to requests for client information.

Some legal requests may restrict notification or require action within specific timeframes. We will act in good faith within the limits of applicable law.

Third-Party Service Providers

Sentinel Opus Consulting may use third-party providers for hosting, domain services, email, analytics, project delivery, documentation, communication, security, and business operations.

Providers receive only the information reasonably needed for their role. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies, contracts, and security practices.

Project requests submitted through the public intake path may be collected using Google Forms and stored in the owner's Google Workspace account for review and response.

Project and Portfolio Confidentiality

Client-identifying project details are not published publicly without permission. Project examples, case studies, proof notes, or Lab entries may be anonymized, generalized, or limited to approved public details.

Internal methods, planning documents, project notes, technical decisions, access details, and client business context are handled with discretion. Public proof should show the work without exposing information that belongs to the client.

Analytics and Cookies

This website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site activity. Analytics loads through the approved launch measurement configuration, and analytics and advertising storage default to denied until a visitor's consent or browser configuration allows otherwise.

The configuration disables Google Signals and ad personalization and applies IP anonymization. Analytics is used to understand basic site performance, traffic patterns, and page usefulness. It is not used to build advertising profiles, retarget visitors, or sell visitor information.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to inquiries, deliver services, maintain records, support clients, resolve disputes, meet legal or tax obligations, and protect the business.

Project records may be retained after completion when they are needed for documentation, maintenance, support history, legal obligations, or business continuity. Access credentials should not be retained beyond the project or active support need unless a written arrangement requires it.

Data Security

We use practical administrative, technical, and operational safeguards to protect information from unnecessary access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No website, email system, hosting provider, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Clients should avoid sending sensitive access details through public forms and should use an approved project channel for credentials or private operational information.

This website may link to third-party websites, tools, documentation, or resources. Sentinel Opus Consulting is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, security practices, or availability of third-party websites.

Children's Privacy

This website and Sentinel Opus Consulting services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Policy Updates

This policy may be updated as the website, services, tools, or legal requirements change. The updated date on this page identifies the current public version.
